AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING A PORTION OF STREET LOCATED IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting hearing the request of to abandon a portion of street.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Part of Lot 8 of Block E of Dunwoody Huntcliff Estates to Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, as recorded in plat cabinet C, Page #7 in the office of the Circuit Court Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder being more particularly described as follows:

Begin at the Northwest Corner of Lot 8 of Block E of Dunwoody Huntcliff Estates to Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence North 89°45'41" East, along the North Line Of Lot 8 aforesaid, 56.58 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue North 89°45'41" East 51.55 feet; thence along a 39.9860°curve to the Right, with a radius of 143.30 feet a distance of 313.23 feet; thence South 35°00'00" West 51.55 feet; thence in a Northeasterly direction along a 33.7059° curve to the Left, with a radius of 170.00 feet, a distance of 371.59 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.161 acres.

WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing and heard all persons desiring to be heard in connection with this matter; and

WHEREAS, the abandonment of easement would not affect the use of and would be in the best interest of all parties concerned.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the right of the public generally, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the city clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of the county and recorded in the deed records of Craighead County.
