RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, REALLOCATING BUDGETED STATE OF ARKANSAS OUTDOOR RECREATION GRANT FUNDS

WHEREAS, State of Arkansas Outdoor Recreation Grant funds in the amount of $500,000 were appropriated in the 2003 City of Jonesboro annual budget, and

WHEREAS, available Grant funds have been reduced by the grantor to the sum of $200,000, and

WHEREAS, there exists a need to fund certain other parks projects in 2003,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

1.                     Appropriated State of Arkansas Outdoor Recreation Grant funds be reallocated to the following parks projects; 1) $50,000 to the Rotary Centennial Park and Playground in Craighead Forest Park, 2)  $40,000 to a playground at Joe Mack Campbell Park, and 3)  $60,000 to construct a parking lot for Allen Park Community Center.

2.                     This resolution shall take effect immediately.
