RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED EAST OF LACOSTE STREET AS REQUESTED BY JOHN LOVELACE

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that;
THE SOUTH 5.00' OF THE NORTH 15.00' OF LOT 24, BLOCK B, RIDGE POINTE, PHASE III REVISED, OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, LYING WEST OF A 15.00' UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID LOT 24.
BE vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of said 30' Sanitary sewer and drainage easement mentioned above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on July 21, 2003 at 6:15 p.m. o'clock, at the Huntington Center, located at 900 W. Monroe, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of July, 2003.
