AN ORDINANCE TO WAIVE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN AMZ POTHOLE PATCHER - SERIAL NO. 205305, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro,

Arkansas:

SECTION 1:   The City Council finds and declares that there is a need to purchase an AMZ Pothole Patcher - Serial No. 205305.

SECTION 2:   Said Porthole Patcher may be purchased immediately from CSC Equipment Company, Jonesboro, Arkansas, for the equal trade of an International TD-20C and John Deere 350C Crawler tractors. The City Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to trade said equipment for the AMZ Pothole Patcher.

SECTION 3:   The City Council finds and declares that the immediate purchase of said Pothole Patcher is necessary for the health and welfare of the citizens of Jonesboro, Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and due to said emergency, the Council waives the usual bidding requirements; and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
