RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK TO SOUTHERN CAST PRODUCTS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has received an offer from Southern Cast Products to purchase property located in the industrial Park, and more particularly described as follows:
A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, being more particularly described as follows:
Begin at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 4 East; thence North 88° 46’52” East 20.0 feet; thence North 208.71 feet; to the point of beginning proper; thence North 208.71 feet; thence North 88° 46’52” East 417.42 feet; thence South 208.71 feet; thence South 88° 46’52” West 417.42 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 2.00 acres, more or less.
For the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) in cash; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that said offer be accepted and said property sold to Southern Cast Products.
NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sell the above described real property to Southern Cast Products for the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) in cash and to execute any and all documents necessary to transfer said property to the purchaser.
