1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
 
2. Roll call by Clerk.
 
3. Approval of minutes from March 3, 1997, as provided.
 
ยท Request by Mr. Joe Carrier to address Council regarding an extension for property located at 511 Cate Street and 925 Warner Street.
 
4. City Attorney:  
 
(A) 3rd reading - Ordinance to annex 99.475 acres located on the north side of Macedonia Road, with a portion of the property being on the south side of Macedonia Road, all of it east of Highway 351. (David Cossey and Mike Young.) See M.A.P.C. Stipulations.
 
(B) 1st reading - Ordinance to abandon a 7 1/2 foot utility easement located on the west side of 2114 Spring Hollow Drive. (Suzan Houston)
 
(C) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone 2.6 acres from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-4) located on the south side of Johnson Avenue, east of Old Greensboro Road. (Paula Craft/C.M Mooney, Sr.)

(G) 2nd reading - Ordinance to amend Title Nine, known as "Streets and Sidewalks", by amending curb and gutter requirements in the Street Improvement Program Standards Manual.
 
(H) 1st reading - Ordinance to amend Section 8.16.03 of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances to establish a permit fee for non-operable vehicles.
 
(I) 1st reading - Ordinance amending Chapter Six of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances providing that Animal Control Officers assume the principal responsibility for Animals; amending the age for dogs being kept over five, amending the date within which a vaccination is required for animals.
 
5. Set an appeal hearing regarding rezoning denial by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission for Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 12 of Wakefield Acres, located on the north side of Harrisburg Road on Wakefield Drive. (Jim Pyle)
 
6. Resolution to set a public hearing for the abandonment of the unimproved portions of  a ten foot drainage easement between Lots 4 and 5 of the David Smith 4th Addition. (James D. Hunt/Berl Smith)
