PUBLIC HEARING 6:15 P.M. - Regarding adoption of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of not to exceed $35,000,000 principal amount of industrial development revenue bonds on application of Millard Refrigerated Services.
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - November 5, 2001
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call by City Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from regular meeting held on October 15, 2001 as delivered.
● Recognition of Boy Scout Troop 69 and their leader Ms. Teresa Belk
4. City Attorney:
A. 1st Reading - Ordinance authorizing the issuance of industrial development revenue bonds for the purpose of financing certain industrial facilities; authorizing a trust indenture securing the bonds; authorizing a lease agreement between the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Millard Refrigerated Services, Inc.; authorizing the sale of the bonds; authorizing and prescribing other matters pertaining thereto; and declaring an emergency.
B. 1st Reading - Ordinance authorizing the issuance of industrial development revenue bonds for the purpose of financing certain industrial facilities; authorizing a trust indenture securing the bonds; authorizing a lease agreement between the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Nestle USA - Prepared Foods Division, Inc; authorizing the sale of the bonds; authorizing and prescribing other matters pertaining thereto; and declaring an emergency.
5. Resolution requesting City Water and Light to provide free lighting for the following locations:
● Joe Mack Campbell Park - 3305 Dan Ave.
● Jonesboro Landfill - 1620 Strawfloor Road.

7. New Business by the Mayor.
● Request by Mr. Bill Ebbert to address the Jonesboro City Council regarding an apology for failure to stir action on the property at the corner of Nettleton and Main; To bring to the Council's attention the authorization to discontinue billing of rental charges on city owned trash dumpsters; To commend committee chairmen for taking minutes at committee meetings; To discuss copy charges by the City of Jonesboro for Freedom of Information requests.
● Request by Mr. George Catlett to address the Jonesboro City Council regarding the property located on the southwest corner of Main and Nettleton Streets; and the purchase of signs reading, "Under New Management".
