BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
SECTION 1:   That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
 
From Commercial (C-3) to Residential (R-3) of property described as follows: C-3 to R-3 E. of Caraway Rd., app. 1/4 mi. N of Fox Meadow Ln. / K. Arnold.
 
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, to-wit: Begin at the intersection of the East line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 33 with the North line of Foxmeadow Village Subdivision, Jonesboro, Arkansas said beginning point being approximately the Southeast Corner of said Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; then run South 89° 04' 09" West along the North line of said Subdivision 39.34 feet to an iron pipe; then run South 89°41' 02" West along the North line of said Subdivision 620.48 feet; then run North 00°04' 35" West 1311.34 feet to a point on the North line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; then run South 89°33' 20" West 659.52 feet to a point in Caraway Road, Jonesboro; then run North 00°04' 19" West along the West section line 400.00 feet; then run North 89°33' 20" East 1318.97 feet; then South 00°05' 22" East 400.00 feet to an iron pipe for the Northeast Corner of said Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; then continue South 00°05' 22"East 1312.41 feet to the point of beginning, being 31.98 acres.
 
SECTION 2:   It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
