IV. OLD BUSINESS
Light had a Corps of Engineer update. He is going to meet with them tomorrow. The final report for Phase I should be out October 1st.
Gibson reported the mold with the new manhole cover design will be delivered at the end of July. Upon delivery, an ordinance will be put in Legistar and a presentation will be made to the winner at a City Council meeting.
V. NEW BUSINESS
Gary Tony was introduced at the new Stormwater Inspector. He will visit all job sites at least monthly. The job sites are looking better.
Light discussed recent flooding. He handed out a list of the problem areas from the last month. He explained these are not new locations. He went over the list. In the area of Hickory Circle/Mockernut a work order has been issued to clean the ditch from Old Paragould to concrete swale on Hickory Circle. The street department did not find a problem on Arrowhead Farm Road. On Chula, the house in question sits lower than the golf cart path. The plan is coordinate with the golf course and work with the POA. A solution would be to lower the grade of the golf course. There was yard flooding on New Castle in Winsor Landing. The water did not get in the house. Work began Friday to fix the two drains along the northern boundary of the subdivision. The work should take approximately two weeks. A work order has been issued to widen the drain opening on Sweet Gum to alleviate flooding on Trinity Oaks. A work order has also been issued to install a yard inlet and covert junction box into inlet for flooding on Legends Cove.
Peachtree is not on the list but was discussed. The pipe under Peachtree is undersized. The ditch from Winsor Landing to Peachtree is undeveloped. The flow line could be cleaned but there are easement issues. There were no calls from the Farrville Curve area. The City worked with the Railroad and got the beaver dam removed. The pipes under the railroad are open.
