The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met Tuesday, December 13, 1988 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 314 W. Washington. The requests considered are as follows:

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Sloan, Smock, Blalock, Vance, Aycock, Harris

 

MEMBERS ABSENT: Lamberth, McCracken, Lusby

 

Item #1 Evelyn Fisher and Doug Lowery requests a rezoning from R-2 to C-3 for a part of the West Half of the SE ¼, NE ¼, Section 17, T14N and R4E. The general location of this property is north of U.S. Hwy. 49B and east of Russell Drive.

 

Mr. Vance made a motion to approve this request subject to granting of additional right-of-way on Hwy. 49B for a total of 50’ from centerline and that before a building permit is issued for the property that a site plan be presented to the MAPC. The motion was seconded by Mr. Aycock. Those voting aye were Mr. Blalock, Mr. Aycock, Mr. Harris, Mr. Vance, and Mr. Sloan. Those voting no were Mr. Smock. REQUEST APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS.

 

Item #2 John Marcom requests a rezoning from R-1 to R-2 for a part of the NW ¼, NE ¼, Section 35, T14N and R3E. The general location of this property is south of Brookway Lane and east of Quail Ridge Drive.

 

Request was withdrawn by owner’s representative.

 

Item #3 Max Dacus, Jr. requests a rezoning from R-2 to C-3 for the east 100 feet of the south 150 feet of Block 15, Partick’s 3rd Addition. The general location of this property is north of Washington and west of McDaniel.

 

A motion to deny the request was made by Mr. Aycock and seconded by Mr. Harris. Those voting aye were Mr. Smock, Mr. Vance, Mr. Aycock and Mr. Harris. Those voting no were Mr. Blalock. REQUEST DENIED.

 

Item #4 Frank Macon requests a replat of Lots 5A, 5B, 5C & 5D, Block 1 pf Ridgecrest Addition. The general location of this property is south of Highland and east of Hampton.

 

Mr. Vance made a motion to approve this request subject to 4’ additional right-of-way being granted on Highland for a total of 41’ from center line. The motion was seconded by Mr. Smock. All members present voting aye. REQUEST APPROVED.

 

Item #5 Steve Modelevsky requests approval of plans for a house to be located on 30 acres located west of Wood Springs Road and north of Day Drive.

 

A motion was made by Mr. Vance and seconded by Mr. Aycock to table this request. All members present voting aye. REQUEST TABLED.

 

Item #6 Methodist Hospital requests approval of site plans for the Phase II Development of the Doctors Complex. The general location of this property is east of Stadium Blvd. and south of Apache Drive.

 

A motion to approve this request was made by Mr. Vance and seconded by Mr. Smock. All members present voting aye. REQUEST APPROVED.

 

Item #7 William Ebbert, Sr. requests a replat of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7, Block H, Belmont Addition. The general location of this property is south of Rose Avenue and east of Madison.

 

A motion to approve this request was made by Mr. Vance and seconded by Mr. Smock. All members present voting aye. REQUEST APPROVED.
