RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO GRANT/CONVEY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 615 E. WASHINGTON AVENUE AND THE ADJACENT PARCELS LOCATED SOUTH OF E. WASHINGTON AVENUE, EAST OF BRIDGE STREET AND WEST OF KITCHEN STREET, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, Craighead County has made known its plans to construct a new Craighead County Health Department on the property currently owned by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas located at 615 E. Washington Avenue and the adjacent parcels being more particularly described as follows, to wit:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Lot 3, (also described as Lot 3, Block 1), of Allen's Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, being 40 X 100 feet, and being a part of the SE ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E, AND
Part of Lot 1 of Cobb Survey of SE ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E, and part of Lot 29 of Cobb Survey of the SW ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the East line of Carson Street and South line of Washington Avenue in the City of Jonesboro, as same are now established; thence East along the south line of Washington Avenue 410.5 feet to point of beginning proper; thence South 104 feet; thence East 175 feet; thence South 306.6 feet to the North line of the City Cemetery' thence East 289.7 feet along the North line of said Cemetery to the Southeast corner of Lot 1 aforesaid; thence North along the East line of Lot 1 aforesaid 50 feet; thence East 130 feet to the West line of Kitchen Street; thence North along the West line of Kitchen Street 43.6 feet to the Southeast Corner of Lot 3 of Cobb Survey; thence West along the South line of Lots 3 and 2 of said Cobb Survey 130 feet to the East line of Lot 1 aforesaid; thence North along the East line of Lot 1 aforesaid 325 feet to the South line of Washington Avenue;
thence West along the South line of Washington Avenue 462.8 feet to the point of beginning proper, LESS AND EXCEPT any part that lies South and West of Bridge Street.

Begin at the Northwest corner of Lot 1 of Cobb Survey of SE ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E; thence South 1°16' West along the West line of aforesaid Lot 1 a distance of 104 feet; thence East 45.6 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue East 48.8 feet; thence South 1°16' West 59.8 feet; thence Northwesterly along a 12°50' curve to the right a distance of 65.1 feet to the point of beginning proper, the above described tract being a part of Lot 1 of Cobb Survey of SE ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E, LESS AND EXCEPT a tract deeded to Pickett Post 21, American Legion, Department of Arkansas, and described as: Begin at the Northeast corner of Lot 29 of Cobb Survey of SW ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E; thence West along the North line of aforesaid Lot 29 a distance of 79.2 feet; thence South 1°16' West 7.2 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue South 1°16' West 96.8 feet; thence East 56 feet; thence North 28°52' West 110.5 feet to the point of beginning proper; the above described tract being a part of Lot 29 of Cobb Survey of SW ¼, SE ¼ of Section 18, T14N, R4E, LESS AND EXCEPT right of way heretofore conveyed to the City of Jonesboro in a Dedication Deed dated April 30, 1964., AND
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas owns the property described above and desires to grant/convey the property to Craighead County for the purpose of construction a new Craighead County Health Department to service the whole County.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the documents necessary to complete this transaction. The City of Jonesboro shall furnish a Warranty Deed upon closing.
