BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
From R-2 to I-1 the following described property:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION AS SURVEYED:
A part of Lots 1 & 2 of Newcom Subdivision, Jonesboro, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: begin at the Northwest Corner of said Lot 1, then run S 88°51'00" E a distance of 193.68 ft. to a point on the West Right-Of-Way Line of Easley Lane; then run S. 01°10'13" W. along said West Right-Of-Way Line a distance of 144.44 ft. to point on the North Right-Of-Way Line a distance of 144.44 ft. to point on the North Right-Of-Way Line of State Highway #18; then run S 74°43'00" W. along said North Right-Of-Way Line a distance of 99.82 ft. to a point; then run S. 81°48'00" W. along said North Right-Of-Way Line a distance of 99.20 ft. to a point; then leaving said North Right-Of-Way Line run N. 01°09'00" E. a distance of 188.80 ft. to the point of beginning, containing 0.75 acres.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
