Chairman Moore read a letter from City Planner Glenn Batten regarding the sanitary sewer easement that runs along the south line of Max Dacus’ property on Commerce Drive.  The letter explained it was not necessary to get approval from Mr. Dacus to place a sanitary sewer line in the easement.  Dr. Richard Wang of the Humane Society proposed a land for sewer type of arrangement where the Humane Society would offer the City a building site free of charge at its East Highland property for construction of a new animal Control facility and the City would secure sewer access to the property and make that sewer access available to the Humane Society at no charge.  Mayor Brodell responded saying he was not sure what the new administration will do, and explained he only had ten months left to serve.  Chairman Moore explained the committee was asked to help find a solution to the easement problem and no decision was reached regarding the land for sewer proposal.
