WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro enlisted the services of Condrey & Associates, a professional firm, to conduct a salary survey;
 
WHEREAS, Condrey & Associates conducted said salary survey and made recommendations concerning a salary schedule and classification and compensation policies and procedures to the Mayor and the Finance and Administration Committee;
 
WHEREAS; the Mayor and the Finance and Administration Committee recommends the implementation of the Plan B Modified salary schedule in addition to the salary adjustments prepared by the City of Jonesboro's Human Resource Director totaling approximately $55,000.00 be included in the 2004 budget effective January 1, 2004;
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Finance and Administration Committee recommends the implementation of the revised Classification and Compensation Policies and Procedures excluding merit considerations effective January 1, 2004; and
 
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Finance and Administration Committee recommends that all resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith, to the extent such conflict, are hereby repealed;
 
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, that the Plan B Modified salary schedule, the salary adjustments made by the Human Resources Director and the revised Classification and Compensation Policies and Procedures excluding merit considerations be adopted and included in the City of Jonesboro 2004 budget effective January 1, 2004; and that all resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith, to the extent such conflict, are hereby repealed.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 2004.
