CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - August 21, 1995
1. Call to order by Mayor at 7:30 p.m.
2. Roll call by Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from August 7, 1995, as mailed.
· Resolution commending the "Sluggers", a Jonesboro 8 and under Softball Team for winning the 1995 Arkansas State Championship in their division.
4. City Attorney:
· Matter regarding the adoption of Ordinance 2630, a rezoning from Residential One to Residential Three for property owned by Mr. Mack Fleming. The rezoning was approved by the MAPC with detailed stipulations. Mr. Fleming wishes to discuss these stipulations before the Council. (Mack Fleming\Mooney Sr.)

(A) 1st reading - An ordinance to vacate and abandon a drainage easement between Lots 3 and 4 of the Calvary Chapel Addition in Jonesboro, Arkansas. (Phillips Investments / Jim Lyons)
(B) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone Lots 1 and 2, Block B of the Apple Hills Subdivision from Residential One to Industrial One, and Lots 3, 4 and 5, Block B of the Apple Hills Subdivision from Residential One to Commercial Three, both located at the east side of Warren Street between Jonathan Street and Daybreak Drive. (C) 1st reading - Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 2144, the adoption of the 1991 Arkansas State Mechanical Code.
(D) 3rd reading - Ordinance to amend Chapter 8.24, Vehicles For Hire, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to set standards for taxi businesses, and for other purposes.
5. Review Bid No. 95:40, Public Officials Liability Insurance for all departments.
6. Resolution certifying the endorsement of Matrix Telecommunications, Inc. to participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program.
7. Resolution to condemn property located at 417 S. Patrick and at 222 S. Bridge in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
8. Council consideration of a Hardship Mobile Home Application, submitted by Mr. and Mrs. Eric Gambill for placement of a mobile home at their residence located at 1918 Tanglewood. This request is made on behalf of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Spencer.
9. Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to enter into a lease of real property to the T. F. C. Center.
10. Review the following reappointment recommendations:
· Paul Bookout, Herbert Davis, Dan Mulhollen, and Charles Frierson, III. to the Solid Waste Authority, with an expiration date of August 1, 1998.
· Marilyn Hummelstein and Joe Horsley to the Long Range MATA Committee, with an expiration date of August 7, 1998.
