Herbert Parker presented a plat of Country Club Heights Addition-Extended, being an addition to a subdivision and presently being outside the corporate limits of the City of Jonesboro. This change is requested so that a trucking firm could establish a business on a piece of land partly within and partly without the city limits at this location.
A request was made by Knox Webb for consideration and rezoning an area bounded by Matthews, Madison, Oak, and Union from R-2 to C-2.
A request was noted from Arthur Jones to rezone a lot on the east side of Church Street approximately 140 feet south of Cherry Street from R-2 to C-2.

Frank Snellgrove and Fred Haywood, representing Don Gilbert, presented a plat and requested preliminary approval of Robindale Addition, being 40 acres lying west of Highway 41 and just north of the present north city limits line. Mr. Snellgrove stated that procedures were underway to annex a portion of this property. After discussion, moved by Carson Boothe, seconded by Dean Ellis, and carried, that the preliminary plat of Robindale Addition be given preliminary approval, subject to proper annexation procedures and the correct number of plats and prints being submitted.
Frank Snellgrove presented a final plat of a replat of Block H-Frierson Addition, lying north of Neville Street and west of Frierson Street. Moved by Lloyd Rebsamen, seconded by Carson Boothe, and carried that this area, having previously received preliminary approval, be given final approval of the plat and a bill of assurance as presented of Block H of Frierson Addition.
Secretary read a letter from D.P. Marshall stating his opinion on the need of north and south streets between Nettleton and East Matthews between Country Club property and Caraway Road. Mr. Marshall noted his willingness to dedicate certain lands to accomplish these purposes. Planning Commission indicated its agreement on the need of such streets and stated as a matter of policy that it would consider these needs when additional property in the area is platted.
Secretary stated that the chairman had reminded him that the time for election of officers of the commission had passed. After considerable discussion, the commission agreed that election of officers should not be heard until a meeting of a larger number of commissioners was held.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned.
