NOVEMBER 8, 1988

The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met Tuesday, November 8, 1988 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 314 W. Washington. The requests considered are as follows:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Sloan, Mr. Aycock, Mr. Blalock, Mr. Lamberth, Mr. Vance, Mr. McCracken
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Lusby, Mr. Smock, Mr. Harris
#1 Connie Halk requests a rezoning from R-1 to C-3 for part of the South Half of the NW 1/4, Section 29, T14N, R4E. The general location of this property is west of Brown’s Lane and north of Race Street.
Mr. Vance made a motion to approve this request subject to:
1. The property line being moved from the centerline on Brown’s Lane 50' to the west
2. Granting of 41'of right-of-way from the centerline on Race Street for the continuation of same
3. That when the property is developed that the owner pay for ½ of a four lane street for the length of this property on the south side and that if the property should be sold this requirement would be transferred to the new owner.
4. Subject to the plat being signed by both property owners
The motion was seconded by Mr. Sloan. All members present voting aye. MOTION APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS.
#2 A motion was made by Mr. Lamberth to approve a replat request by Edward and LaNita Cooper for Lot 7 of Centre Grove Subdivision and Lots 2 & 3, Block A of Louise M. Cartwright Subdivision of Blocks B & C of Elmwood Subdivision of Woodland Park Second Addition. The motion was seconded by Mr. Vance. All members present voting aye. MOTION APPROVED.
#3 Mr. Vance made a motion to grant final approval of Woodsprings Heights Subdivision for Malcolm Street and William Craft subject to a 10' utility easement being granted on the north side of Lot 8. The subdivision contains 8 lots on 5.72 acres, more or less, and is located south of Hwy 226 and west of Nix Lake Drive. Mr. Blalock seconded the motion. All members present voting aye. MOTION APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS.
#4 John & Rosemary Ball request a replat of Lots1a&1b of the First Replat of Lot 7 Earl Fairs’ Subdivision. The general location of this property is south of Matthews and west of Osler Dr.
Mr. Lamberth made a motion to approve this request subject to the same stipulation made when the first replat was approved. This being the street improvements on E. Matthews in front of this property when the City proceeds with the widening of Matthews. The motion was seconded by Mr. Aycock. All members present voting aye. MOTION APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS.
#5 Lance Sloan requests conceptual of site plans for a 24 unit apartment to be located south of Aggie Road and west of “E” Street.
The members of the commission looked at this proposal but gave no approval of the plan, only suggestions and alternatives for the development of the property.
