ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, the following described lands are currently zoned “R-2" residential use classification:
TRACT 1:
All of Lots 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and the South Half of Lot 4 of Block A, Lot 1 of Block D and Lot 2 of Block E Of Elders Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas. Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 and the North Half of a closed alley lying South of and adjacent to lot 13 of Burns and Lutterloh’s Subdivision to Jonesboro, Arkansas. Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Block A and the North Half of a closed alley lying South of and adjacent to Lot 3 of Block A and Lots 1, 2 and 3 and the South Half of a closed alley lying North and adjacent to Lot 1 of Block E of Wood Subdivision of Block D and E of Elders Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas.
TRACT 2:
All that part of Lutterloh Street; that part of Hope Avenue lying East of the East Right-of-Way of Carson Street and West of the West Right-Of-Way of Bridge Street; and an alley lying South of and Adjacent to Lot 1 of Block D and North of and Adjacent to Lot 2 of Block D of Elder’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the above described lands are now owned by Jonesboro Real Estate Holdings Company, Inc. and Jonesboro City Water & Light; and
WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has recommended that said lands be rezoned to AC-1" commercial use classification; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that all applicable laws of the State of Arkansas and of the City of Jonesboro have been complied with in presenting this ordinance to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, codified as Title 14 of the Jonesboro Municipal Code, should be, and it hereby is amended so that the lands hereinabove described are zoned C-1" commercial use classification.

SECTION 2: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk is hereby directed to amend the official zoning district boundary map of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, insofar as it relates to the lands described hereinabove so that the zoning classification of said lands shall be in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance.
