AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:   

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Commercial (C-3) To Industrial (I-1) the following described property:

 

TRACT 3

 Part of the Northeast One-Quarter (3) of the Northeast One-Quarter (3) and part of the Northwest One-Quarter (3) of the Northeast One-Quarter, both in Section 35, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, more particularly described as follows; commencing at the Southeast Corner of the Southeast One-Quarter (3) of the Northeast One-Quarter (3) of Section 35; thence South 89º42' West 150.34 feet; thence North 60º34' West 87.5 feet; thence North 34º10' West 186.8 feet; thence North 1935'35' West 894.13 feet; thence North 32º07' West 329.7 feet; thence South 89º28'07" West 130.01 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue South 89º28'07" West 221.26 feet; thence North 55º09'46" West 262.51 feet; thence North 44º59'12" West 102.92 feet:  thence North 46º49'15" West 100.12 feet; thence North 30º23'36" West 105.95 feet; thence North 63º43'10" West 103.08 feet; thence North 17º22'17" West 115.27 feet; thence North 40º19' East 265.0 feet; thence South 49º41' East 499.33 feet; thence South 45º52'08" 300.67 feet; thence South 01º24'42" West 205.61 feet to the point of beginning, containing 6.34 acres, more or less.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
