AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES: TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds and declares that the condition of traffic is such to endanger the traveling public and pedestrians at certain streets and intersections and that certain traffic control devices are established and placed at and of the following streets and intersections:
(A) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Whitehaven and Twin Oaks, traffic on Whitehaven yielding to traffic on Twin Oaks
(B) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Cottonwood and Twin Oaks, traffic on Cottonwood yielding to traffic on Twin Oaks
(C) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Timberidge and Loberg, traffic on Timberidge yielding to traffic on Loberg
(D) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Stonemill and Loberg, traffic on Stonemill yielding to traffic on Loberg
(E) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Lark and Thrush, traffic on Lark yielding to traffic on Thrush
(F) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Thrush and Starling, traffic on Thrush yielding to traffic on Starling
(G) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Cardinal and Lark, traffic on Cardinal yielding to traffic on Lark
(H) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Lark and Robin, traffic on Lark yielding to traffic on Robin
(I) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Shagbark and Oakhill Lane, traffic on Shagbark yielding to traffic on Oakhill Lane
(J) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Oak Meadow and Nettleton, traffic on Oak Meadow yielding to traffic on Nettleton

(R) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection or Valhalla and itself, traffic on Valhalla going north yielding to traffic on Valhalla going east and west
(S) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Sequoia and Rains, traffic on Sequoia yielding to traffic on Rains
(T) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Oak Hollow Cove and Oak Hollow, traffic on Oak Hollow Cove yielding to traffic on Oak Hollow
(U) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Oak Hollow and Sequoia, traffic on Oak Hollow yielding to traffic on Sequoia

(AA) Two (2) stop signs to be place at the intersection of Moore Road and Parker Road, traffic on Monroe yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(BB) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Heath Road and Parker Road, traffic on Heath yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(CC) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Taylor Lane and Heath Road, traffic on
Taylor Lane yielding to traffic on Heath Road
(DD) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Dorton Road and Parker Road, traffic on Dorton Road yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(EE) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Cottage Home Church Circle and Parker Road, traffic on Cottage Home Church Circle yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(FF) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Cottage Home Road and Parker Road, traffic on Cottage Home Road yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(GG) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Cottage Home Church Circle and Cottage Home Road, traffic on Cottage Home Church Circle yielding to traffic on Cottage Home Road
(HH) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Cook Road and Parker Road, traffic on Cook yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(II) Two (2) stop signs to be places at the intersection of Barnhill and Parker Road, traffic on Barnhill yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(JJ) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Commerce and Pacific Road, traffic on Commerce yielding to traffic on Pacific Road
(KK) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Pacific and Kathleen, traffic on Pacific yielding to traffic on Kathleen
(LL) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Samantha Avenue and Commerce, traffic on Samantha yielding to traffic on Commerce
(MM) Two (2) stop signs to be placed at the intersection of Commerce and Parker Road, traffic on Commerce yielding to traffic on Parker Road
(NN) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Tanglewood and Smoot, traffic on Tanglewood yielding to traffic on Smoot
(OO) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Munous and Loberg, traffic on Munous yielding to traffic on Loberg
(PP) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Briarwood and Tanglewood, traffic on Briarwood yielding to traffic on Tanglewood
(QQ) A stop sign to be placed at the intersection of Penwood and Stonemill, traffic on Penwood yielding to traffic on Stonemill
SECTION 2: The drivers of all vehicles shall obey all traffic control singles per instruction on the face thereof.
SECTION 3: The Chief of Police or some other person designated by him is hereby directed to place and locate upon the above described streets and the proper place, appropriate signs designating traffic control as set out and it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to tear down, remove or mutilate such signs or violate the instructions on the face of said signs.
SECTION 4: All ordinances and/or parts or ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, that increasing traffic congestion and lack of traffic control devices have caused or will cause danger to life and property; this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
