ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
A part of Section 2, Township 13 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County Arkansas to wit: Begin at the Northwest Corner of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 13 North, Range 3 East, run N. 89°08'00" E. a distance of 1292.23 ft. to a point; thence run S. 01°04'05" E. a distance of 658.04 feet to a point; thence run N. 89°12'38" E. a distance of 200.00 feet to appoint, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence run N 89°12'38" E. a distance of 707.17 feet to a point; thence run S. 30°17'29" W. a distance of 210.07 feet to a point; thence run N. 63°15'48" W. a distance of 200.32 feet to a point; thence run S. 19°49'49" W. a distance of 626.80 feet to appoint; thence run S. 57°21'11" E. a distance of 195.25 ft. to a point; thence run N. 80°42'52" W. a distance of 225.62 feet to a point; thence run N. 83°25'30" W. a distance of 107.25 feet to a point; thence run N. 01°04'05" W. a distance of 779.74 feet to a point, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 6.50 acres.
SECTION 2: This rezoning is conditioned on Bill of Assurance of equal restriction being placed on the adjacent 200 feet of Residential (R-1) property, with the Bill of Assurance being filed before any building permits will be issued on the property being rezoning Commercial (C-3). The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that this rezoning is for the general benefit and welfare of the public, and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
