January 7, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 11:30 a.m. by Alderman McCall. Members present were: Tim McCall, Chris Moore, Alec Farmer, and Cecil Province. Others in attendance were City Clerk Donna Jackson and Press.
Chair McCall called the meeting to order.
MINUTES
Councilman Farmer moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to approve the following sets of minutes: October 4, 2004, November 9, 2004, December 6, 2004, and December 14, 2004. All voted aye.
2005 COUNCIL COMMITTEES
Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer to recommend to the full council the following 2005 Council Committee recommendations:
All voted aye.

PRESIDENT PRO TEMP
Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer to recommend to the full council the appointment of Councilman Perrin as President Pro Temp. All voted aye.
Councilman McCall moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to recommend Councilman Farmer to chair the next City Council meeting on January 18, 2005 due to the absence of Mayor Formon and Councilman Perrin who were attending a Legislative Dinner in Little Rock Arkansas.
HAWORTH ROOM
Councilman Farmer moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to change the name of the Haworth Room to the City Council Conference Room. It was requested that the sign be removed and replaced with the amended name. All voted aye.
NOMINATING & RULES CHAIR
Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer to nominate Councilman McCall as the Chair of the Nominating and Rules Committee. All voted aye.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, Councilman Farmer moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to adjourn. All voted aye.
