RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SELL HIGHWAY RIGHT OF WAY, HIGHWAY 63 - VALLEY VIEW, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY TRACT 9 TO THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to issue all documents necessary to effectuate the closing of a sale for Highway Right of Way, Highway 63 - Valley View, Craighead County, Tract 9, to the Arkansas State Highway Commission, owned by the City of Jonesboro being described as follows, to-wit:
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SE ¼, SW ¼) of Section 26, Township 14 North, Range 4 East of the 5th Principal Meridian in Craighead County, Arkansas more particularly described as follows:
Part of Lot 8, Clear View Estates being part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, Township 13 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Starting at the Southeast Corner of Lot 8, Clear View Estates, thence South 41°30'00" West along the South line thereof a distance of 256.27 feet to a point on the Northerly proposed right of way line of U. S. Highway 49 for the point of beginning; thence continue South 41°30'00" West along the South line of Lot 1 a distance of 53.92 feet to a point on the Easterly existing right of way line of Maple Valley Drive; thence North 00°29'24" East along said existing right of way line a distance of 39.79 feet to a point on the Northerly proposed right of way line of U. S. Highway 49; thence North 89°0152" East along said proposed right of way line a distance of 35.39 feet to the point of beginning and containing 704 square feet more or less.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept the following purchase price offer: $1,050.00
3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
