AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING ALL OF THE NE QUARTER OF THE SW QUARTER AN ALL OF THE NW QUARTER OF THE SW QUARTER LYING SOUTH AND EAST OF WOOD SPRINGS ROAD IN SECTION 26. TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST; AND LOT 1 OF SCHROEDER SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE SE QUARTER OF THE NW QUARTER OF SECTION 26, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST; TO THE CITYOF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
It being determined by the County Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, after due notice and according to the provisions of law, to enter an order of annexation on August 22, 1984, making
All of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and all of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter lying South and East of Wood Springs Road (Arkansas Highway 226), in Section 26, Township 14 North, Range 3 East.
AND
Lot l of Schroeder Subdivision of Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 14 North and Range 3 East as shown by plat recorded in Deed Record 123 Page 228 at Jonesboro, Arkansas
a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and it being found that said territory should be accepted into and made part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That the above described lands are hereby accepted and made a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, annexed thereto, and the persons residing therein shall have and enjoy all the rights and privileges of the inhabitants within the original limits of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Section 2: Said lands shall be assigned to Ward 4.
Section 3: Said lands shall be zoned residential R-1.
Section 4: It is hereby found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that there is now an extreme emergency that the territory herein be immediately annexed to and accepted by the City of Jonesboro in order to facilitate proper development of the property and prevent untimely delay of construction by the upcoming bad weather months; therefore, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation and protection of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage.
