OCTOBER 14, 1982
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met Thursday, October 14, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 314 West Washington, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Larry Ball, Vice Chairman.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Ball, Mr. Smith, Mr. Blalock, Mr. Feher, Mr. Farmer, Mr. White, Mr. Scott.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Cooper, Mr. Tilton.
OTHERS PRESENT: Mike Cameron, John Broadaway, Sheri Kiech, Curt Hodges.
#1 Malcom Street request approval of a replat of a part of Lots 45, 49 & 51 of Cobb Survey of a part of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 19 T14N R 4E. The general location of this property is South of East Cherry Avenue and East of South Church Street.
Mr. Scott made a motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. Smith. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
#2 Malcolm Street requests approval of Site Development Plans for an apartment complex to be located on a replat of a part of Cobb’s Survey of a part of the NW1/4 NE 1/4 of Section 19 T14N R 4E. The general location of this property is South of Cherry St. and West of Cobb St.
Mr. White made a motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. Scott, subject to the following stipulations:
1. Units be relocated away from Storm Drains and Sanitation Sewer.
2. Ten (10) feet of Easement be provided by the Landowners on both Storm Drains and Sanitation Sewer.
3. Letter from Fire Inspector David Bradley indicating the approval of the Development Plans.
REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
#3 Gilmore Enterprises requests final approval of a Record Replat for Stadium Subdivision. The general location of this property is West of Stadium Boulevard and South of U.S. Hwy. 63 By-Pass.
Mr. Scott made a motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. White. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
#4 Joe Little requests approval of revision to Record Plat of Elmdale Condominiums, a Planned Unit Development. The general location of this property is West of Dupwe Street and South of West Nettleton Avenue.
Mr. White made a motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. Feher. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
#5 Mr. & Mrs. Charles B. Gregg requests approval of a replat of part of Lots 2, 3 and 5 of Block M of Nesbitt Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas into one lot. The general location of this property is South of Monroe Avenue and East of Walnut Street.
Mr. Scott made the motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. White. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
#6 Poinsett Service Corporation requests approval of a revision to the Final Development Plans for Oak Meadow Condominiums, a Planned Unit Development. The general location of this property is North of East Nettleton Avenue and East of Thrush Street.
Mr. Feher made a motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. Scott. REQUEST APPROVED. Voting Aye: Mr. Smith, Mr. Feher, Mr. White, Mr. Scott,. Voting No:Mr. Blalock, Mr. Farmer.
#7 Dr. Brian McCleskey requests approval of a replat of Lots 3 and 4 of White Plaza Subdivision. The general location of this property is South of Conrad Drive and West of South Caraway Road.
Mr. Scott made a motion to approve the request, seconded by Mr. Smith, with the following stipulation:
1. Subject to obtaining Lot #4 the Petitioner acquires all property within Thirty (30) days.
If the Petitioner does not acquire all property this action will become void.
REQUEST APPROVED. Voting Aye: Mr. Smith, Mr. Blalock, Mr. Feher, Mr. Farmer, Mr. Scott. Abstaining, Mr. White.
