BE IT RESOLVED on this day of October 29, 1954, the general contractors of Jonesboro, Arkansas, as shown by the City records as having paid their 1954 occupation tax, respectfully petition the Mayor and City Council to postpone any action on the proposed ordinance governing the construction alteration, equipment or removal of buildings or structures, until such a time as due consideration and study can be given such an ordinance.
We feel that since this proposal is comprehensive in its nature and affects the general citizenry and property owners, as well as ourselves, that any advantage gained by such action taken quickly and without due consideration would be more than offset by many disadvantages.
Signed this day, October 29, 1954.
