BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:    
 
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Be Amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
 
From Commercial C-3 to Industrial I-1 the following described property:
 
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
 
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, and Lot 4A of 1st Replat of Mead's Development Addition and a closed street all being in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows:
 
Begin at the Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence West on the Section Line 1547.97 feet; thence South 1°12'00" West 41.57 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence South 1°12'00"  West 931.14 feet; thence South 89°53'00" East  111.10 feet; thence Northeasterly along a 224.8903° curve to the Left with a radius of 25.48 feet a distance of 19.77 feet to the West Right-Of-Way Line of Mead Drive; thence Southwesterly along said Right-Of-Way Line, along a109.6651° curve to the Left with a radius of 52.25 feet a distance of 90.66 feet;  thence South 1°12'00" West along said Right-Of-Way Line 266.28 feet; thence North 89°57'00"  West 335.46 feet; thence North 1°12'00" East 1266.33 feet to the South Right-Of-Way Line of Parker Road; thence North  89°03'13" East along  said Right-Of-Way Line 199.46 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 6.83 acres (297514.80 square feet).
 
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
