BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
 
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
 
From Industrial (I-1) To Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
 
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
 
A part of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas and being more particularly described as follows:
 
TRACT 1      
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Section 1; thence North 89°23'17" east 721.38 feet; thence North 89°34'16" West 30.0 feet; to the point of beginning proper; thence South 88°34' West 153.88 feet; Thence South 89°26'23" West 265.62 feet; thence North 1°13'45" East 369.29 feet; thence East 422.57 feet; thence South 43°04'15" East 36.93 feet; thence South 43°55'45" West 26.04 feet; thence along a curve to the left having a Delta of 43°55'45" and length of 108.55 feet; thence South 220.33 feet tot he point of beginning proper, containing 3.57 acres more or less.
 
TRACT 2      
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Section 1; thence North 89°23'17" East 721.38 feet; thence North 89°.88 feet; thence South 89°34'16" East 30.0 feet to the point of beginning proper, thence North 220.33 feet thence along a curve to the right having a Delta of 43°55'45" and length of 62.55 feet; thence South 83°18'33" East 24297 feet; thence South 0.05' West 255.81 feet; thence North 88°28'56" West 263.13 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 1.61 acres more or less.
 
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
