IV. OLD BUSINESS

Light gave an update on the Stormwater Utility Fee. The proposal was approved by City Council on September 19th. There will be a kickoff meeting in a couple of week. Light would like for Mr. Beisner to attend. Light stated that the fee is a good thing because it is needed. Currently, all funds for drainage come from the Street Fund. The fee will provide funds to address more drainage issues. There will be a five-year improvement plan with different fee scenarios. The proposal will show different projects and how much money is needed to complete them. Wyatt stated there needs to be a dedicated income stream in order to plan. Day stated the fee would have to be adopted by City Council. Light stated yes. There will be two public meetings and a vote by City Council to set the fee. The public meetings are part of the process and will allow public input.
