AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Commercial (C-4) to Commercial (C-3) of property described as follows:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (SE1/4, NE1/4) of Section 31 and a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (SW1/4, NW1/4) of Section 32, all in Township 14 North, Range 4 East of the 5th Principal Meridian in Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows;
From the Northwest Corner of said Section 32, thence S00°00'00"W 1,391.70 feet along the West Line of said Section 32 to the Point of Beginning;
Thence S76°45'00"E 9.10 feet along the southerly line of Sirois 2nd Addition to a point, thence S76°20'00"E 84.70 feet along the southerly line of said Sirois 2nd Addition to the southwest corner of Lot 10 of said Sirois 2nd Addition, thence S68°17'52"E 189.50 feet to a point on the northwesterly line of Medallion Acres Addition, thence S35°58'01"W 281.77 feet along the northwesterly line of said Medallion Acres Addition to a point on the easterly right of way of Arkansas Highway 1-B, thence N44°09'00"W 288.00 feet along said right of way to a point, thence N46°06'00"W 166.50 feet along said right of way to a point, thence N70°09'00"E 88.50 feet to a point on the southerly line of Sirois 2nd Addition, thence S76°45'00"E 139.30 feet along the southerly line of said Sirois 2nd Addition to the Point of Beginning, containing some 1.764 acres, more or less, subject to a utility easement forty feet (40') in width and further subject to an easement fifteen feet (15') in width as shown on the recorded plat of the Poseyville Annex Commercial Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
