AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.954 PROVIDING FOR CHANGE IN ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
That Ordinance No.954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro is amended as follows as recommended by the City Planning Commission:
Section 1: the zoning district boundaries are hereby changed:
(1) From residential to commercial (C-2) an area described as Lot 11 of Cobb and Lee’s Survey of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 14 North Range 4 East.
(2) From residential (R-2) to commercial (C-3) an area described as beginning on the north line of Highway 18 at the Southwest corner of the present properties zoned C-3; thence West along the north line of Highway 18 aforesaid 301.2 feet; thence north along the east line of Viking Addition 205.3 feet; thence northeasterly along the southeasterly line of Viking Addition 785.2 feet to the southwest line of present zone C-3; thence southeasterly 385 feet along said line of zone C-3 to Cain Street; thence southwesterly long Cain Street in the present line of zone C-3 a distance of 185.3 feet; thence south along Cain Street 50.6 feet; thence west along present line of zone C-3 a distance of 399.2 feet; thence south along the present line of zone C-3 290 feet to the point of beginning.
(3) From residential (R-2) to commercial (C-3) a part of Lot 20 of Cobb and Lee’s Survey of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 27, Township 14 North Range 4 East, more particularly described as follows: Commence at the northwest corner of Section 27, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, thence East 44.6 feet to the south right of way line of Highway 18; thence east 426.6 feet along said right-of-way line to point of beginning; thence east 463.9 feet; thence south 0° 25’ east 858.8 feet; thence west 418.9 feet; thence north 3° 25’ west 860 feet to the point of beginning of Section 27, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, thence East 44.6 feet; thence South 29° 23’ east 46.9 feet to the south right of way line of Highway 18’ thence east 426.6 feet along said right-of-way line to point of beginning; thence east 463.9 feet; thence south 0° 25’ east 858.8 feet; thence west 418.9 feet; thence north 3°25’ west 860 feet to the point of beginning.
(4) From residential (R-3) to residential (R-2) an area bounded by Rogers Street on the west, the City Limits on the north, the east line of College Place Addition on the east and Aggie Road on the south, excepting Lots 26 through 37 and Lots 38 through 49 of Block 8 of E. C. Stuck Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
