AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 954, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO REZONE FROM R-1 TO R-2, CERTAIN PROPERTY (1717 METZLER LANE)

WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has heard all persons desiring to be heard regarding the proposed rezoning of certain property generally located at 1717 Metzler Lane, and has recommended to the City Council rezoning as described below:

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:    

 

That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended by the change in zoning district classification, from R-1 Residential to R-2 Residential, for the following described property:

 

Lot 1 and a portion of Lot 22, Block B, according to the plat of Metzler Addition to the City of Jonesboro, lying in the Southeast Quarter (S.E.1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (S.E.1/4) of Section 19, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, at Jonesboro, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (S.E.1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (S.E.1/4) of Section 19 aforesaid, thence South 00º01'51" West, along the East line of the Southeast Quarter (S.E.1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (S.E.1/4) of said Section 19 and the centerline of Metzler Lane (60' right-of-way), a distance of 350.00 feet to a point, thence South 89º11'00" West, departing from said East line and also departing from said centerline, a distance of 30.00 feet to the point of beginning of the herein described parcel, said point lying on the Westerly right-of-way line of said Metzler Lane, thence South 00º01'51" West, along said Westerly right-of-way line, a distance of 128.00 feet to a point, thence South 89º11'00" West, departing from said Westerly right-of-way line, a distance of 110.43 feet to a point, thence North 00º21'01" West, a distance of 120.27 feet to a point, said point lying on the arc of a curve concave Southerly, having a radius of 573.11 feet, thence easterly, along the arc of said curve, through a central angle of 10º22'32", a distance of 103.78 feet to the end of said curve, thence South 89º58'09" East, a distance of 8.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing in all 13,958 sq. ft. or 0.320 acres, more or less.

 

Subject to easements, restrictions, reservations and rights- of-way of record.
