PUBLIC HEARING - 6:00 p.m. - Regarding the Community Development Block Grant Program, for the purpose of receiving input about the Consolidated Plan and the 1997 Community Development Program for Jonesboro.
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - JUNE 16, 1997
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll call by Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from June 2, 1997, and June 6, 1997, (Special Called Meeting) as provided.
4. City Attorney:
(A) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone 5.54 acres from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3), located on the south side of Long Crest Drive, west of Willow Road. (Bruce Wrinkles)
(B) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone 1.57 acres from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3), located on the northeast corner of Johnson Avenue and Highway 351. (Midway Properties)
(C) 1st reading - Ordinance to rezone 5.28 acres from Industrial (I-1) to Commercial (C-3), located on the north side of Johnson Avenue, west of Darrick Lane. (Robert Chastain)
(D) 1st reading - Ordinance requesting approval of annexation of 23.30 acres and zoning classification of Residential (R-2), located on the north side of Windsor Landing Subdivision, north of Bridger Creek. (Robert Chastain)
(E) 3rd reading - Ordinance abandoning a portion of a drainage easement located in the Sage Meadows Subdivision, Phase 1-D. (Sage Meadows/Mooney, Sr.)
(F) 3rd reading - Ordinance to rezone 2.56 acres from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-4), located on the east side of Harrisburg Road, south of Medallion Drive. (Farrell Benton/Mooney, Sr.)
(G) 1st reading - Ordinance to amend Section 8.40.18 of the Jonesboro Municipal Code entitled Parking Time Limits.
(H) 1st reading - Ordinance to amend the Jonesboro Municipal Code, increasing the sale of municipal property to $25,000.00 before requiring competitive bidding. (Ordinance unavailable - To be provided by the City Attorney)
5. Resolution to proceed with condemnation action on the following Jonesboro properties: 1207 Cartwright, 300 West Center, and 504 Belt.
6. Resolution authorizing an application to the Arkansas Development Financial Authority for a Homeowner Rehabilitation Grant, with $200,000.00 local matching funds.
7. Resolution approving the Consolidated Plan/Action Plan, including the 1997 Community Development Block Grant projects and budget.
8. Approval of a Conditional Use Permit, requesting a mobile home placement at 4306 East Aggie Road, on behalf of Mr. Harold Gossett, and his daughter and Son-in-Law, (Dawn and Perry Smith).
9. Resolution requesting City Water & Light to provide free temporary utility service (45 days) at 5003 Stadium Blvd, for a new concession stand and first aid station.
