AN ORDINANCE DIVIDING THE CITY OF JONESBORO INTO SIX WARDS AND REPEALING SECTION 2.4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND OTHER ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
Section 1: For the purpose of election of city aldermen and all other lawful purposes of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, the City is hereby divided into six (6 wards hereinafter respectively identified and described:
WARD NO. 1
That portion of the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, described as follows: Begin at the intersection of St. Louis S.W. Railway at the city limits; east along railway to Nesbitt; South on Nesbitt to Huntington; East on Huntington to Main; South on Main to Nettleton; West on Nettleton to Broadmoor; South on Broadmoor to Rosemond; West on Rosemond to Biscayne Lane; Southwest on Biscayne Lane to Smoot Drive; Northwest on Smoot Drive to Denver Drive; Northwest on Denver Drive to Highway 63 By-pass; Northwest on Highway 63 By-Pas to Matthews Extended; Northwest on Matthews Extended to the City Limits.
WARD NO. 2
That portion of the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, described as follows:
Begin at the intersection of St. Louis S.W. Railway and City limits; East along St. Louis S.W. Railway line to Nesbitt; South on Nesbitt to Huntington; East on Huntington to Main; South on Main to Cherry; East on Cherry to South Patrick Extended; North on Patrick to City limits.
WARD NO. 3
That portion of the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, described as follows:
Begin on Patrick Road at intersection with City limits; South on Patrick to Cherry Avenue Extended; East on Cherry Avenue Extended line to Caraway Road; South on Caraway Road to Stallings Lane; East on Stallings Lane to Stadium Boulevard; North on Stadium Boulevard to Highway 1 Northeast on Highway 1 to city limits.
WARD NO. 4
That portion of the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, described as follows: Begin at Highway 49 South at City limits; Northeast on Highway 49 (Southwest Drive) to Nettleton; West on Nettleton to Broadmoor; South on Broadmoor to Rosemond; West on Rosemond to Biscayne Lane; Southwest on Biscayne Lane to Smoot Drive; Northwest on Smoot Drive to Denver Drive; Northwest on Denver Drive to Highway 63 By-Pass; Northwest on Highway 63 By-Pass to Matthews Extended; Northwest on Matthews Extended to City limits.
WARD NO. 5
That portion of the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, described as follows: Begin at Highway 49 at city limits; Northeast on Highway 49 (Southwest Drive) to Cherry; East on Cherry and Cherry Extended to Caraway Road; South on Caraway Road to Stallings Land; East on Stallings Lane to Stadium Boulevard; South on Stadium Boulevard to Race Street; East on Race Street to Willow Road; South on Willow Road to City limits.
WARD NO. 6
Begin at Willow Road at intersection of city limits; North on Willow Road to Race Street; West on Race Street to Stadium Boulevard; North on Stadium Boulevard to Highway 1; Northeast on Highway 1 (49) to City limits.
Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to furnish a certified copy of the Ordinance to the Craighead County Election Commissioners.
Section 3: All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
