BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:   

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From I-2 to C-3 the following described property:

A part of the West Half of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas and being more particularly described as follows:  Commencing at the North Quarter corner of said Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 3 East; thence North 88°33'14" East 659.68 feet; thence South 00°44'02" East 1401.47 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING PROPER; thence continue South 00°44'02" East 224.74 feet; thence North 76°21'14" West 629.08 feet; thence North 00°44'38" West 34.11 feet; thence along a curve to the right having a Delta of 104°27'05" having a length of 270.13 feet; thence South 76°17'32" East 437.96 feet to the point of beginning proper and being subject to all public and private roads and easements.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
