AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Residential (R-1) To Industrial (I-1) the following described property.
A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 10 an a part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, all in Township 14 North, Range 3 East, more particularly described as follows: begin at the Quarter Corner of said Sections 10 and 15, thence North 16.7 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue North on the Quarter Section Line 992.1 feet; thence South 75º42' East 412.8 feet; thence North 300 feet to the South Right Of Way Line of Highway 63; thence South 75º42' East along aforesaid Right Of Way Line 31 feet; thence South Parallel to the Quarter Section Line 1292.1 feet; thence North 75º42' West 443.8 Feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 10.00 acres, and being subject to a proposed road Right Of Way Off and across the East Side thereof, and
Part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 14 North, Range Three East, more particularly described as follows: begin at the Quarter Corner of Sections 10 and 15, Township 14 North, Range 3 East; thence North on the Quarter Section line 1008.8 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence continue North on the Quarter Section Line 300 feet to the South Right Of Way Line of Arkansas State Highway Number 63; thence South 75º42' East along said Right Of Way Line 412.8 feet; thence South parallel to the Quarter Section Line 300 feet; thence North 75º42' West 412.8 feet to the point of beginning proper.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
