MAPC MINUTES
APRIL 9, 1981
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met Thursday, April 9, 1981 at 7:00 P.M. in the courtroom at City Hall.
Members Present: Cooper, Smith, Tilton, Ball, White, Farmer and Blalock
Members Absent: Gott and Scott
Others Present: Mike Cameron, John Broadaway, Brenda Barnes and Curt Hodges.
Items considered were as follows:
Item #1 Dale Fisher requests a replat of a part of Gregg and Houston’s Subdivision of South Main Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The general location of this property is between Main Street and Church Street, south of Campus Street.
Mr. Ball made a motion to approve request, seconded by Mr. Tilton. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
Item #2 Paul Palmer and Rollo White request a replat of Lots 19 and 20 of Rosewood Estates Subdivision, Jonesboro, Arkansas. The general location of this property is at the corner of Harvester Drive and Rosewood Circle.
Mr. Smith made a motion, seconded by Mr. Ball to approve request. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
Item #3 John Kitterman requests approval of a replat of lot 58 of a replat of lots 56, 57 and 58 of Merrywood Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas. the general location of this property is at the end of Merrywood Cove.
A motion was made by Mr. Tilton and seconded by Mr. Ball to Table request due to existing sewer that is located within the proposed lot 57 which would prevent development of that lot. Developer was not present for comment. REQUEST TABELED UNANIMOUSLY.
Item #4 John Kitterman requests approval of subdivision plans of Meadowlark Estates Subdivision. The general location of this property is north of Leslie Ann Drive and west of Tony Ann Drive.
Mr. Tilton made a motion to approve preliminary, seconded by Mr. Ball with these stipulations: (1) City Engineer, Mike Cameron, and Harvey Johnson, engineer for developer, get together on drainage of box culvert and (2) progress report be given to the MAPC on the development of Tony Ann Drive prior to final approval. REQUEST APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
