WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has heard all persons desiring to be heard regarding the proposed rezoning of certain properties generally located on the east side of Cottage Home Road, and as recommended to the City Council, rezoning as described below;
 
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended by the change in zoning district classifications, from Residential R-1 to Industrial I-2, for the following described properties:
 
(Phillips Property) The Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, Craighead County Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner or the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, run North 87°26'37" East a distance of 1.352.36 ft. to a point; thence run South 01°35'57" East a distance of 1304.19 ft. to a point thence run South 87°13'55" West a distance of 1338.67  ft. to a point: thence North 02°12'0" 9 feet West a distance  of 1308.98 ft. to a point, said point being the Point of Beginning subject to Right of Way as shown on North and West sides, yielding a net area of 38.02 acres; And
 
(Render Property) Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
 
Begin at the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the  Northwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 14 North, Range 5 East, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence South 87°12' 00" West along the South Line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest  Quarter of Section 29 aforesaid, 1115.12 feet; thence North 1°29'33" West 210.00 feet; thence South 87°12'33" West 210.00 feet to the West Line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, aforesaid; thence North 1°29'33" West along said West Line 1093.31 feet to the Northwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, aforesaid; thence North 87°05'36" East along the North Line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, aforesaid, 1321.18 feet to the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, aforesaid; thence South 1°40'05" East along the East Line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 29, aforesaid, 1305.89 feet to the point of beginning, containing 38.60 acres; and
