A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT A WALMART COMMUNITY GRANT FROM WALMART FACILITY #6377 (WALMART NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET ON HARRISBURG ROAD) TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE VETERANS VILLAGE

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro was awarded a Walmart Community Grant in the amount of $2,500 with no local match requirement to purchase supplies and equipment for the Veterans Village.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas will complete construction of the Veterans Village in 2021 and will utilize Walmart Community Grant funds to purchase necessary supplies to get the facility operational and ready to house homeless Veterans.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will enter into agreement with Walmart Facility #6377 to accept the Walmart Community Grant in the amount of $2,500 with no local match.
SECTION 2: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility.
SECTION 3: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
SECTION 4: The Jonesboro City Council pledges its full support and hereby authorizes Walmart Facility #6377 to initiate action to implement this project.
