RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2019 OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE FY2019 DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FY2018 FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas was awarded the FY 2018 Fire Prevention and Safety grant in the amount of $9,133.33 with a local match requirement of $456.67 for a total of $9,590; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro passed the 2019 Operating Budget in Resolution 18:186, which did not include a budgeted amount for the FY 2018 Fire Prevention and Safety grant and will need to be amended in order to reflect the awarded amount; and,
WHEREAS, the budgeted expenditure increases will consist of the following:
09-123-0224-00 Smoke Detectors $ 4,371.44
09-123-0224-00 Supplies $ 4,761.89
WHEREAS, the budgeted revenue increase will consist of the following:
09-123-0664-00 Federal Funding $ 9,133.33
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The 2019 Operating Budget is hereby amended to provide a change in the Federal Funds Budget for the FY 2018 Fire Prevention and Safety award.
